The artist says about her work:

“It has been my long-held belief that traveling to the different countries of the world is in itself a symbolic journey. No matter where we travel, we always seek to discover something new of our own souls. All that we are is always brought along in the trips that we take, and that is the discovery I made when I went to India.

The eyes of the Indian people express a type of soul exploration, expressions that mask the harsh reality that they experience in everyday life. In these masked faces, I found some fragments of lives which speak to the incessant search of spirituality and purity, in a life marked so differently from the occidental one yet so tightly related to the reflection of our living.”
